Sarah Ace Rogers
I have always had a passion for art. My life can quite literally be expressed through my many mediums and works throughout the years. I have always had a passion for creating and storytelling. Aren't we all essentially creators at our core?
Art isn't just tangible on paper... it is felt. Whether it be photography, pencil, clay, epoxy, yoga, paint, running in an open field, music, meditation... I have my hand in it because witnessing these moments and feelings is what my vision is all about. My passion is to capture the art of life and the present.
In 2008 I started working for Freedom Photography as a photography assistant. I learned as I went and had a love for post edit processing for the photographer (which I'm sure she loved too lol). This is how I acquired my first beginner DSLR, a Canon rebel XS, and dove into the world of photography head first! In 2013 I attended Lambton College for a year in Digital Photography. I ran Aced Designs Photography from 2008-2014 with a focus around digital art and creative portraiture and then under my personal name since. I've dabbled in every kind of photography and strive to document as much of this beautiful life as possible.
I have made it one of my missions in life to photojournal my life, which you can peep on my Instagram. Now I have a passion for sharing my knowledge of photography with others, especially my significant other, he is currently learning and loving it! He takes a lot of the photos of me you'll see. My kids also have a natural knack for photography and love to learn the camera too.I have a great ability to come up with creative ideas and never done before portraits. I love to collaborate and create!
Not just a photographer
Also a mom to a teen and preteen, a mom-to-be in April 2022 with my amazing boyfriend. I’m not afraid to get in front of the camera. I love drawing, pencil has always been a favorite. Portraits are my favorite thing to draw and also take pictures of. Digital art is something I've always dabbled in especially in photoshop and now procreate. Lightroom is my favorite workflow program for editing though. I have started a tattoo apprenticeship but never had the time to finish it.
In my spare time I'm often enjoying wildlife photography, I love taking photos of the sunset and waterfalls, I recently have started dabbling in astrophotography. This past summer I entered a street art competition, it was so fun even though I didn't win. Yoga has always been a large part of my life. Nature is my must have meditation though.
What's next for me....
My hope is to teach other photographers and regular people the art of lifestyle photography and all my tips and tricks. I want to mentor others and be apart ofva photography community.
